LOVE YOUR WORMS

Check out are additional WormOn info too!

Worms do not like light. For happiest worms pick a day to feed them. I like Friday Feeding, Lory likes Monday Munchies.

What they like:

o Most food scraps except meat and dairy

o Fruit and vegetable scraps and their peelings

o Coffee grounds and filters

o Tea bags - minus the staple ;->

o Paper napkins and tissue

o Sprinkle on food: dry milk, wheat germ, corn meal, etc

When you use a food processor on the food prior to feeding the worms, they eat even faster.

They will eat the food they like best first. They love melon, peaches and berries. Worms are not big bread eaters and they don't eat acidic foods much: onions, orange peels and tomatoes. NO Sauces! Also, some things worms will not eat are corncobs or husks, avocado skins and Artichoke leaves.

Feed the worms quickly. They don't like light. They will not eat for a while after the exposure.

Open Bin - Carefully dig a trough - Lay in food Cover over - Close

A piece of open moistened newspaper over their digs is nice.

Encourage people to collect their food scraps in an airtight container in their refrigerator. Putting in paper towels and kleenex tissue helps absorb liquid.

The goal here is to get worm poop (castings). Once you have it sprinkle it around your indoor and outdoor plants or put some in your watering can and make a tea for your plants.
